传Facebook收购位置共享服务Gowalla

网易科技讯  12月3日消息，据国外媒体报道，消息人士透露，Facebook已收购位置共享服务Gowalla，但未透露具体交易细节。

2010年时，Gowalla曾是Foursquare强有力的竞争对手，但正如Foursquare投资者弗雷德•威尔逊（Fred Wilson）今年5月指出的，Foursquare现在已成为无可争议的行业领先者。

Facebook在今年夏天关闭了自己的收购位置共享服务Places。Facebook关闭Places的目的，是让用户不仅仅在他们的移动电话上“签到”，而是让用户可以通过他们的任何设备把他们当前的地理位置信息添加到任何内容中。

一些分析师认为，Facebook收购Gowalla，可能用于建立自己的手机平台。（刘春）
